kelly development has retained bld architecture to design a new 35,000 gsf 30 unit residential condominium building located on west avenue in patchogue village. finding the appropriate historical context was important to the village mayor. for the design, bld architecture invoked some of the early colonial like the clifton and the smithport as well as private estates that dotted the south shore.
due to the high water table and tidal zone, the units are located within a three-story elevated structure and grouped around five common lobbies with shared elevator cores. the dwelling units use a modern open plan with the latest smart technology, hvac, appliances and contemporary finishes and include a combination of 2 bedroom units. the site includes parking for 40 stalls and a small community building with fitness and meeting rooms.
