montauk 24 realty, llc has selected bld architecture to design its new ground-up commercial and medical development in the hamlet of hampton bays. situated on a 1.94-acre site at the eastern intersection of route 24 and montauk highway—the former location of the hampton bays diner—this development will feature two newly constructed buildings: an 8,000 gsf medical office for a leading radiological testing group and a 7,000 gsf non-medical office sharing the parcel. both buildings draw architectural inspiration from the modern farmhouses of the north fork, aligning with the town of southampton’s nautical mercantile design guidelines.
working alongside r&m engineering, bld secured approvals from the town of southampton planning board, architectural review board, and the departments of building and fire prevention, as well as the new york state department of transportation and suffolk county department of health. this thoughtfully designed campus balances state-of-the-art functionality with east end charm, establishing a naturally landscaped setting at a key gateway into hampton bays.
