bld architecture is designing a new expansion and parking garage for suffolk county off track betting (otb) for jakes 58 in islandia. the new facility will double the current number of video lottery terminals (vlt’s) from 1,000 to 2,000 machines. while the casino will double in size the parking will triple in capacity with the addition of a new three and a half story parking garage and surface parking with enhanced landscaping and signage.
a new entry approach for queuing with valet and decellularization lane along the lie service road will enhance the visitor experience. as a part of the renovation, a new modern brand is being created with upscale restaurants, vip services, amenities and a fully renovated hotel with 225 modern style rooms. ten new elevators and escalators will be added along with the upgrades to the existing 6 vastly improving vertical transportation and services. the lobby / gaming floor will connect with a new event space and ultra lounge for visitors.
