ed casper, as part of wiedersum associates, was lead architect for this 75,000 sf, 4 story addition for lich was approved by dasny and included, relocating the emergency department administration space, pst and staff lounge in the lower concourse (level 1). level 2 included 4 cath labs, one diagnostic, one ep/cath, and 2 shell labs, and 18 cubicle pre and post procedure unit was created for both inpatient and outpatient access and a noninvasive cardiology suite complete with nuclear camera was included.
the third level included 4, 750 sf operating rooms with central sterile core, clean or cart storage, and other support spaces, an 18 cubicle pacu was created as well as male and female doctors locker rooms and common doctors’ lounge. the (4th) level was the mechanical penthouse, which included very significant ahu’s, 3 boiler, clean steam generating plant and 4 roof top chillers.
