Suffolk OTB is gearing up for a significant transformation, as they prepare to commence a groundbreaking ceremony for the eagerly anticipated $210 million expansion of Jake’s 58 Casino Hotel. This ambitious endeavor aims to address longstanding issues plaguing the gambling establishment, notably the amount of betting terminals and parking accommodations. With the expansion marking the first major overhaul since its inception in 2017, OTB officials are optimistic about the positive impact it will have on both operational efficiency and financial performance. Phil Boyle, Suffolk OTB president, outlined the key enhancements, including the doubling of betting terminals to a staggering 2,000 and the expansion of parking capacity from 600 spaces to nearly 2,000, facilitated by the addition of a three-story garage. As part of the comprehensive improvements, there are also plans underway to modernize and update the existing 210 hotel rooms, enhancing the overall guest experience.

In addition to the expansion of gaming facilities, there will also be the development of new pubs, restaurants, and versatile event spaces tailored for conferences and wedding receptions. Over the past seven years, Jake’s has firmly established itself as one of New York’s premier gambling destinations, a reputation that is expected to be further solidified with these added amenities and services. stakeholders anticipate a substantial boost in annual revenue, projected to surge by up to 42% following the completion of this expansion project. bld is proud to contribute its expertise to this project along with aurora contracting and a team of industry leading consultants. our team of experts includes, pw grosser (environmental), gms (structural) mwb engineering (mep&fp), akrf (acoustics), stonefield engineering & design (traffic), hayduk engineering (site / civil), gei consultants, inc.
