new 400,000 gsf gaming facility and hotel designation for long island
after two years of development, construction is set to commence in the spring 2024, this state-of-the-art 300,000 sq. ft. expansion and 225,000 gsf renovation will take the guest experience at jake’s 58 casino to new heights. Working with our team of consulting engineers including, PW Grosser (environmental), GMS (structural), MWB (mep&fp), AKRF (acoustic), Stonefield (traffic) Hayduk (site / civil), GEi (Geotech), RDA landscape) and a host of attorneys we coordinated the efforts of the entitlement process. This included the initial presentations to the Village of Islandia for intent, SEQRA and full DEIS, Suffolk County Planning Commission / Town of Islip for local determination, NYSDOT, SCWA and PSEG for utilities, SCDPW for sanitary, and the Village of Islandia for Road abandonments, BZA variances, Site Plan approvals, Clearing Permits and DOB permits.
our team also worked with the neighboring residential properties to mitigate environmental concerns of operational noise or visual impacts. The project includes a landscaped soundwall to the east property abutting the neighbors. A PLA was created by management for the project and a public bid held. aurora Contractors of Ronkonkoma was awarded the project as the lowest qualified bid.
